What is the United Nations Young Professionals Programme (YPP)?

The United Nations Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is an annual recruitment initiative aimed at attracting highly qualified young professionals who are willing to start a career in the United Nations as international civil servants.

Can I take part in the YPP?

To take part in the UN YPP, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Have the nationality of a participating country;
  • Hold at least a first-level university degree relevant for the exam area you are applying for;
  • Be 32 or younger by the end of the examination;
  • Be fluent in either English or French.

  1. Application stage;
  2. Written examination stage;
  3. Interview stage.
