Guide for psychological intervention with Immigrants and Refugees

Guía para la intervención psicológica con Inmigrantes y Refugiados (Original language title)

The Guide for psychological intervention with Immigrants and Refugees lists traumatic events that immigrants and refugees might have suffered, such as the loss of homes and loved ones, the destruction of social support networks, etc.

It  includes a set of proposals for social, educational, community and family interventions, along with a series of actions to prevent racism and xenophobia. There is also a specific section dedicated to families who have come with their children which covers and analyses typical reactions of children who go through these situations, some keys to identify problem situations and some general guidelines to manage them.

The Guide is published by the Association of Psychologists of Madrid, in collaboration with the Psychology Without Borders Foundation and the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Seville and the Complutense University Madrid.
