Who We Are
The Home Project is a non-profit organization that has provided relief to more than 220 lone refugee children in Greece. Through a holistic network of services, which range from food and shelter to psychological and educational support, we aim to provide a home for every unaccompanied refugee child that arrives in Greece. Our additional programs include professional training and internship opportunities for the children, funding partnerships with similarly-focused international humanitarian aid organizations, and high-level dialogues at worldwide summits raising awareness and support for lone children.
Due to current demand of mental health services in our shelters, we are delighted to announce a new job opening. We welcome a Psychologist / Psychotherapist who wants to join our team on a full-time basis to work with the children and adolescents who experience mental health challenges in our shelters. We are looking for individuals who are able to work in Greece or in the EU under the guidance of The HOME Project’s Social Protection Unit and who have at least 2-3 years of experience with traumatized populations; Experience with children is a plus.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults
- Maintain accurate and current clinical documentation
- Cooperate with other treatment providers to coordinate care
- Collegial Environment- Weekly clinical supervision
- Friendly support staff
- Ability to work rotating shifts
Structure of the Program
Location: The Home Project, Athens, Greece
Supervision: Once a week with the Clinical Supervisor and once a week meeting with the Site(s) Managing Supervisor
Sessions: Once a week for all children in need
