As a global advisor – Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE), you will be part of the leadership of Oxfam GB’s programming on women’s economic empowerment.
You will hold the responsibility for strategy, decision-making and implementation in two critical areas:
(i) ensuring stronger organizational capacity across Oxfam for high quality and large-scale impact of our work on Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE), with a holistic and transformative approach to gender justice;
(ii) driving a long-term strategy for advising and influencing Oxfam programmes and the wider development sector on effectively promoting women’s economic empowerment through inclusive markets systems, enterprise development and private sector engagement.
What we are looking for
As a global advisor – Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE), you will have experience of providing technical advisory support to programme implementation teams, designing and delivering advisory processes, using a range of remote and face to face approaches. You will have experience of communicating to commercial players about women’s economic empowerment in terms of concepts and practicalities as well as excellent analytical skills, ability to integrate expertise from gender justice and market systems disciplines in a holistic approach.
You will also have ability to think strategically and lead others in change as well as proven decision-making capability, working with significant levels of autonomy and ability to adapt to changing circumstance.
