Hope For Children “CRC Policy Center” announces a job vacancy of Fundraising Officer. The purpose of this role is to ensure that Hope For Children has the financial resources to deliver on its goals.
Under the overall guidance of HFC’s Directors, the Fundraising Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
Main duties and responsibilities:
- To work with stakeholders to ensure that challenging fundraising targets are met, that our contractual obligations with donors are adhered, and that new donors are brought on board.
- To cultivate and nurture successful and productive relationships with current and potential corporate/foundation sponsors and individual donors.
- To acquire and develop a strong fundraising portfolio together with other members of HFC staff, stakeholders and relevant contacts.
- To write compelling bids to corporate and charity institutions.
- To expand the HFC’s network through the development of new and beneficial relationships.
- To represent and be the ‘face’ of HFC to the corporate world.
- To develop and implement a fundraising plan for the organisation which will achieve the goals for sustainable funding, the development of projects, and delivery of core operations.
- Contribute to the organization of fundraising events.
- Support fundraising initiatives organizes by third parties for the support of HFC.
- Ensure that accurate and up-to-date information is maintained on all submissions, and donors in relevant databases and filing systems.
- Work with HFC’s Directors to ensure that funding proposals comply with HFC’s developing best practice in grants monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Communicate professionally and in a timely fashion with staff, partner organisations and donors to ensure effective grant management and advancement of program implementation.
- Provide technical support to assess donor eligibility/allow ability of planned expenditures and identify related compliance requirements.
- Work with the Directors to streamline and maintain an accurate database of donations, contracts, and cooperative agreements.
- Supervise and provide guidance to interns assigned to you.
- Network and communication with existing and prospective supporters.
- Undertake any other tasks related to the post, as directed by HFC management.
- Communicate and cooperate with other “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center” departments, keeping updated on the organisation’s needs and developments.
- Take care of all administrative tasks related to the above tasks.
- Undertake any other responsibilities, tasks or activities as reasonably required as the above is given as a broad range of duties and is not intended to be a complete description of all tasks. It is important to note that the responsibilities may change to meet the evolving needs of the way “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center works.
Knowledge, Skills, Working Experience
- University degree, preferably at postgraduate level, in a relevant field (such as Business Management, Marketing, Humanities)
- Experience in business development and fundraising (at least 3 years)
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction or oversight
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Enthusiastic, proactive, creative
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage and prioritise workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent spoken and written language skills (English and Greek)
- Clear Criminal Record Certificate
- Clear Sexual Offences Criminal Record Certification.
