Co-Project Manager SKILLS FACTORY
selfm.aid is a Swiss-Greek non-profit organization committed to empowering communities affected by displacement and social inequality. In the SKILLS FACTORY on Samos GR, we bring artisans from all around the world together to share their expertise, ideas, and produce the necessities they need.
As a Project Manager, you will take on a key role in managing our operations and administration, and leading a team of coordinators. Through projects such as the SKILLS FACTORY we create sustainable opportunities for skills development, employment pathways, and dignified participation. Our work combines humanitarian action with long-term social impact and community-led solutions.
Role Overview:
The Co-Project Manager with Focus on Social Work and Administration holds the overall responsibility for Administration, M&E, Reporting, Representation, and leadership of the project.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the strategic planning, execution, coordination, and oversight of the SKILLS FACTORY activities on Samos.

Oversee production and distribution of humanitarian aid and execution of external projects.

Provide guidance, support, and empowerment to department coordinators and facilitators.

Create an environment where every person feels empowered to reach their full potential.

Lead team meetings and recruit, introduce, and mentor a team of up to 4 coordinators.

Oversee the project’s administration, finance/accounting, reporting, outreach, and communications (including social media).

HR responsibility for the coordination team of the SKILLS FACTORY, including regular check-ins with the team on the ground.

Report directly to the director.

Represent SKILLS FACTORY to external stakeholders, sponsors, and partners
Requirements:

Experience in the humanitarian field or social work.

Previous experience in team leadership, with the ability to motivate, delegate, and take responsibility.

Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages, especially Greek, French, Farsi, Arabic, or German (for accounting and fundraising efforts through registration in Switzerland) are an asset.

Experience in administration, HR, or coordination in a humanitarian context.

Computer literacy and confidence with office work.

Motivated, well-structured, precise, organized, creative, clear communicator, flexible, and reliable.

Ability to remain calm, friendly, and solution-oriented even in stressful situations.

Emotionally resilient/mentally stable and able to handle challenging situations while maintaining healthy boundaries.

Person-centered, participatory, and resource-oriented approach to work.

In possession of a valid visa or residency to live and work in Greece.
